I have to write an essay on biology. 750 words only, but still. It’s Bio. Do I look/sound/smell like a scientist to you? On a related topic, someone searched for the term chemiosmosis and landed on my blog. Hello there! Sorry to disappoint you but I don’t know anything about chemiosmosis either.
I have regained a bit of energy knowing that one (out of 6) essay has already been submitted and on this glorious rainy day that is my off day, I am attempting to overdose on a pre-loved drink that I was reacquainted with in Desaru.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present you Ovaltine, for the win over its higher-profile and easier to find friend, Milo.

No, they do not taste the same. Yes, both are chocolate malt drinks but there is a subtle difference in flavour and is what separates a cup of Ovaltine from a cup of Milo. Ovaltine is more chocolatey. During the Desaru trip, me and Nor bought many packs of the 3-in-1 mix to drink back in our room and complained about how hard it was to find it back home. Turns out Shop and Save stocks the drink. It is my least favourite supermarket but stocking Ovaltine reedeems it just a bit.
The Paki thinks I shouldn’t waste money by buying the more expensive Ovaltine as he thinks that they both taste the same. His judgement is not valid because he is the same person who cannot tell the difference between Australian-made Cadbury and Malaysian-made Cadbury, and any chocolate addict worth his or her cocoa beans will tell you that there is world of difference between the two in terms of taste and texture.

Comment by maya Wednesday, February 28, 2007 @ 11:32 pmmaya i agree with your chipsmore thing! its got a very mehsia taste. maybe i’m influenced by the very malaysian ad of “skejap ade skejap takde” but when i eat chips ahoy, can more feeling2 like that.
i don’t make sense. i knew it.
Comment by fiza Thursday, March 1, 2007 @ 1:14 ammaya: wikipedia says chips ahoy is american but dunno where is it manufactured though. suspect kuat, our neighbour. i don’t like the synthetic-ish taste!
