So yesterday we stuffed our faces at The Carousel because it was my mother’s birthday celebration. She turned a year older on the 13th of July. Happy birthday mama!
So today I am going off to Langkawi and I’m pretty excited. At the same time, it’s quite a new experience because I realize that this is going to be the first time I will be away from the Paki. Usually we’re pretty much joined at the hips but I shall take this as a dress rehearsal because he will be defending the country soon. Parting is such sweet sorrow!
Ok I have got to go and as always, I have overpacked. Will be back with pictures and stories.

It is less than a month to my 21st birthday and time is running out fast for me to grow taller. I have measured myself and there is no change, not even by half a centimetre. I think it is time to re-accept my fate that I will remain five feet tall. I have not weighed myself yet but I probably lost 0.2kg from loss of bodily fluids through perspiration, all thanks to the lovely tropical climate (read: hot and humid) of this sunny island set in the sea.
I’m no longer selling bras and currently I work from home, meaning I laze around surfing the net, play Puzzle Bobble until I become crosseyed, meditate through sleeping and basically sitting on my bum doing nothing much. That is not to say I have been idling away my life just like that. In fact lately I have been busy thinking about what to ask people to buy me for my birthday and I have come to the conclusion that I am indeed a very nice person because most of the stuff that I want (for now, new items may be added) are not more than $50.
1) glittery gold Ipanema flip-flops from Novo, size 37 please. There are 3 kinds of gold flip-flops, I want the glittery one that also comes in silver and black.
2) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!! or good books, Borders gift card etc

4) a black or red bag, but only if you are sure of my taste.
5) a black zip up/hoodie but no pullovers please, depending on the cut it should either be in S or M. Ok sidetrack but I can actually comfortably fit S size undies from La Senza!
6) Zara vouchers!!! This one you may give more than $50. I certainly will not mind.
7) black Bebe wedge flip-flops, the plain ones because I don’t like the hearts one.

There should be a more neutral term to describe a person you enjoy close ties with because the term “friend” is loaded with affection, intertwining bonds, loyalty and something akin to forever. In reality affection fades, bonds loosen, loyalty wavers, forever is a myth and friendship, like any other relationship, is transient.
