It’s the almost the end of the mid-term break and I have not cleared my backlog at all. There is going to be hell but there is a more pressing problem that I have to deal with right now, and that is a bitch of a toothache and a sore gum caused by a hole in one of my molars.

It’s also two more weeks to hari raya! I made my first of the three trips that I will be making to Geylang Bazaar. I can’t decide when is a good time of the day to visit the bazaar. If I go in the afternoon, it will not be crowded and hence easier to navigate through the lanes but it will be extremely hot, which is not the kind of weather you want to be stuck under a heat-trapping canvas when you are fasting. If I go in the evening, I would have eaten and therefore be in a more pleasant disposition and plus it would also be significantly cooler. The problem is that about a few thousand people share the same sentiment and so the bazaar becomes an obstacle course and a vat of armpit smell. In any case I achieved yesterday’s objectives of 1) surveying what’s available and narrowing a few choices for the Paki’s baju kurung, 2) buying deng-deng although it wasn’t the spicy one that I wanted and best of all 3) getting my tub of mandi lulur from the trusty jamu (traditional herbal medicine) shop in Joo Chiat Complex! For the clueless, mandi lulur is a traditional Indonesian body scrub and it’s kickass for two reasons – it works in keeping your skin smooth, more so if you slather on body lotion after you shower, and it’s dirt cheap. A tub will only burn a small $2.50 hole in your pocket. Compare this to $20-30 something body scrubs that you find in popular bodycare shops, this is a steal!

Siti also says hi and would like everyone to know that she is bleeding me dry with her appetite (buying food) and her regular bowel movement (buying cat’s litter) and causing chaos at home through her constant scratching of the sofas, climbing the window grilles when the window is open and biting our toes and fingers and in my mum’s case, her spare tyre.

On Friday I met XY and I told her if I end up getting conjunctivitis (because she was down with it for the past week), I will make my way down to her house and drop kick her. Looks like I will have to pay her a visit tomorrow. I am quite certain that it’s the same shit because my right eye is reddish and my left eye is starting to turn red as well. The most fantastic part is that later at 10am, I have a presentation!!! If my eyes turn blood red when I wake up later, I will have no choice but to look like Stevie Wonder’s long lost sister and wear shades in class. Our fivehead is about the same height so I might as well. Lek I hope you are reading this!!

It’s the mid-term break!

It is nice to have a bit of a breather, especially after forgoing precious hours of sleep to finish the bloody world religion essay. I think I slept for a total of 9 hours only for the past three days and the lack of sleep made me feel delirious the whole day today. I was giggly and somewhat high despite being absolutely and extremely tired. Now that the delirium is over, I am just exhausted and ready to collapse. Unfortunately I cannot sleep in tomorrow because I have a fieldtrip to Haw Par Villa. I’ve been there once before when it was still in operation as a theme park and I remember going through the gates of hell in a little boat. It was so disturbing for me as a child to see the various ways that humans are tortured in hell. Come to think of it, why the hell did my mother bring me there for? No wonder I have issues. I will interrogate her later when we have our pre-dawn meal.

I am also very happy to learn my first semi-vulgar Thai word. Khun choop phuut cock kha? In other words, do you like to suck cock? Actually I just put suck and cock together. The actual word for blowjob is very likely to be something else.
