The Last Supper, minus 1.

We had tom yam steamboat, beef fries and grilled chicken. Important thing to note when eating steamboat: DO NOT eat a lot of rice or any carbo, otherwise you won’t have much space left. Anyway this is by far our cheapest and most substantial dinner partayyy, costing a total of $50 only! So to the Misfits, meet to eat soon yes? Indra’s been hinting about his birthday but we can just ignore him hurhur.

After almost 10 years living in this far-flung corner of Woodlands, I have narrowed down 3 development projects that this neighbourhood needs.
- Number 1, Vista Point must get rid of the two-level seafood restaurant and replace it with McDonald’s ASAP.
I have bitched about how lousy Vista Point is on so many occasions but there was a period of time when I had nothing but love for it. This was because before the seafood restaurant came about, the same area housed A&W’s! What is there not to love about having waffles and root beer float within a very short walking distance? Now it is a (non-halal) seafood restaurant and a breeding ground for red-faced, beer guzzling middle-agers. There are already 2 coffeeshop catering to mostly non-Muslim clientele so McDonald’s would balance things out. Actually it would be even better if Al-Ameen kicked the seafood restaurant’s ass but that’s wishful thinking on my part. Besides, there’s already an Al-Ameen in Woodlands but the service there sucks balls and the food not as nice as the Bukit Timah one. The point is, we need a McDonald’s here!
- Number 2, Vista Point must replace Shop N Save with NTUC or any other better supermarket.
My second point concerns Vista Point again because this little heartland mall is like across the road from my block and so it is of utmost importance that it be spruced up and made useful. Shop N Save is inadequate, especially if you are looking for ingredients for a Western meal. Everytime I feel like trying out a new dish, it is most likely to be thwarted by Shop N Save. If I have to travel to Causeway Point to get the stuff, I might as well just take-away food from there.
- Number 3, we need a community centre with a gym damn it.
There is no community centre to service this neighbourhood of mine and usually I don’t give a shit about CCs but if it is going to include a gym, I am so going to care. I want to exercise but I don’t want to have to wake up early in the morning to avoid the sun or jiggle my way past the evening crowd. A gym would be preferable and a gym in a CC near my place would be best. The nearest one right now is the one beside Woodlands Swimming Complex, which is so bloody far.
Again, I wonder why am I living at the toe of Woodlands and not somewhere in the stomach area. It’s crazy but I suppose Boarie is even crazier because out of sheer boredom, she is going to come all the way from Aljunied to my place here in the wilderness. And later we’re probably going swimming haha!

Given a choice, I would stay in bed all day because there is no better place to be than in between the sheets with the curtains drawn and the aircon on. I feel tired and irritable about everything and nothing. I fear that I will have a permanent scowl and some God-awful frown lines.
