It’s freezing cold, I’m sleepy and as usual, I have overpacked. I miss my family, my baby and my cat already but oh well.

Be right back in a week’s time!

I have been working for about a month already and have been coping well with the working hours. Hell, I can now walk pretty fast up the hill on heels with minimal perspiration. Usually I’ll just be a bit tired on Mondays and Wednesdays because I have tutoring to do until 9pm on those days, but for the rest of the week I am fine. But now that my contract is coming to an end, with less than 3 days till freedom, I am feeling completely exhausted. It’s as if my body is finally registering signals of tiredness from my mind and now I just feel like taking a 14 hour nap. Since Monday, I have resorted to drinking at least 2 cups of coffee (yay for free pantry coffee) to remain alert and to suppress my crankiness. Doesn’t help that modules must be decided and timetable must be planned by this week.

On top of about 400 more books to deal with at work.

And tuition materials to be prepared as well as assignments to be marked.

And the fact that my first pay is not in yet, with my supervisor clueless as to when I will get it.

And that I have run out of makeup and I don’t have time to get a new one.

And that I have not gotten my fringe trimmed yet, hence exposing my fivehead to all and sundry.

I don’t even have time to post the remaining HK pics, but I will do it very soon because I know some of my friends want to see them. And yes Shazila, I have not forgotten about the “entry” hehe.

Anyway, last Sunday was my mama’s birthday so Happy Birthday once again to my mama!

HK Part 2 – Picture heavy

It is not surprising that Disneyland is also known as “The Happiest Place on Earth” because surely the good people in the Disney empire are smiling gleefully everyday, while counting the shitload of money that they make off kids and adults who behave like kids. As you know, there is a Disneyland in HK and it is the second one in Asia after Japan’s. Which is why every tour agency and ad about HK features Disneyland and the ubiquitous fireworks over the Disney castle. Logic and common sense told me to not go to Disneyland because it is expensive ($60 per adult), I won’t sit on the crazy heart attack inducing rides and I didn’t want to be spit on by crazy mainland Chinese people. However I followed my heart and emotions instead. I decided to go for the sake of baby Ilhan and the other 2 kids because I didn’t want to deprive them of their happiness and fun.

OK LAH ACTUALLY I WANTED TO GO TOO. I grew up watching a lot of Disney stuff and I love them all HEEEE so of course I wanted to go to Disneyland.

Disneyland is also on Lantau, very convenient for us all as it was about 10 minutes away only. To get to Disneyland we took the MTR from Tung Chung to Sunny Bay, where we boarded a special train.
