I am savouring the final hours of my term break because at 10am tomorrow, school is back in full swing. Luckily it’s a History of the Malay World class, my favourite module of the semester. I don’t have a strong feeling about doing well for this module but I just enjoy going to the lectures. The professor is a hoot, I’m telling you. The other day he was talking about the Chola invasion of SEA, then he said (something along the lines of)
” … Chola invasion. Not a Mexican, that’s a chulo.”
I cracked up! Funny ok? Sucks for you if you don’t get it!
Anyway it is also really painful to admit this but Thai is actually my second favourite this time around. Maybe because my current teacher is way less cuntier than the previous one and also maybe because they realize we are serious about the language, since we are in Thai 3 after all, and so they have decided to be nice to the survivors. However, liking it more does not mean I am more inclined to do the homework. It is still a long and drawn out affair, spanning almost 4 hours at times.
Another thing is that I did not clear my backlog during the break. I AM SCREWED.
Today was a silly day.
- Went to salon with the intention of dyeing hair a golden brown shade, dunno why I left with a reddish brown shade instead. I like it but I’m just wondering why the hell did I deviate from my original plan.
- Searched for a brooch because some crystals were missing from my favourite one. Got home and took a look at the old brooch, just to lament over a loss because I really liked it. Found the missing stones, despite failing to do so for almost a year already, and there goes money wasted on a new brooch.
- Couldn’t find a decent bag that was small yet spacious enough to house my necessities. They say that the content of a woman’s handbag is a reflection of her character, because it shows how much stuff she is willing to carry around with her. I lug around a lot of stuff, too many sometimes. But how can I leave my house without powder, tissue, inhaler, umbrella, sweater, sanitary pad etc etc. You know what I mean?
- Went to a shoe shop, found a pair of heels that is 99% similar to the Aldo ones that I almost bought yesterday at the Jay Gee sale (if only the bloody shoes weren’t defective!). So now I realize that the 1% difference lies in the price tag and the comfort level because the copy ones are half the price but the design is such a way that it doesn’t allow my feet to rest properly. The arch of my foot does not touch the shoe at all and it is sort of suspended, so to speak, which basically means that I will only last 30 minutes max in the heels before I raise the white flag. So no go, despite the affordable price tag. Unless I’m really desperate, which I am not. Yet.
- Then I went to another shoe shop and I finally decided on a pair of heels, only to find out that the outlet doesn’t have it in my size. I have to go all the way to Plaza Singapura within three days to get it and it’s really damn troublesome because I was intending to stay home over the weekend. But for the love of good bargains and all things cheap and beautiful, I shall brave the weekend crowd/traffic.
- I need to buy liquid eyeliner.
- 2 hours of Grey’s Anatomy today!!!!!

It was totally worth it, despite watching the episode grimacing and squinting. Not to mention the pounding worsens whenever my excitement level increases and that every fast and furious click of my keyboard ( love love to my GG bb, S!) ups the pain level. The things I do! Anyway, SORT OF SPOILER, WITH A JUICY PIC BEHIND THE CUT! Feel free to comment after you are done watching the ep!
